Acknowledgment

Great Ocean Road Tours Australia respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters we traverse and operate upon. We honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, past, present, and emerging, and recognise their continuous connection to country, community, and culture.

Our Contract

All bookings are made with Great Ocean Road Tours Australia (ABN [Insert ABN]). By booking with us, you agree to these terms and conditions, which form the contract between you (“the traveller”) and us. Services provided are outlined in your booking confirmation and/or invoice.

Validity

Dates, itineraries, and pricing are valid until 31 March 2026 and are subject to change from 01 June 2024 onwards.

Standard Conditions

References to “we,” “our,” and “us” relate to Great Ocean Road Tours Australia. Please read and understand these terms thoroughly before booking. Familiarise yourself with your itinerary, style, and physical demands. We will not be responsible for issues arising from travellers’ failure to review booking terms.

While we endeavour to ensure the safety and comfort of travellers, we are not liable for illness, injury, loss, delay, or damages beyond our control. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance, including COVID-19 coverage.

We reserve the right to modify routes, itineraries, or cancel tours due to unforeseen circumstances, including extreme weather or cultural events.

Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are subject to change.

Traveller Information

You must provide accurate personal details, including name, contact information, dietary requirements, nationality, and medical conditions at booking. For details on personal information handling, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Responsible Travel

Travellers must comply with all government regulations applicable at the time of travel. If cancellations occur due to unforeseen personal circumstances or regulatory changes, cancellation terms apply, and administrative fees may be withheld.

If a traveller departs mid-tour or fails to join at departure, no reimbursement will be provided, and additional costs are the traveller’s responsibility.

Cancellations & Refund Policy

Traveller Cancellation:

  • Day Trips:

    • Within 24 hours: 100% fee.
    • 2+ days prior: Full refund, free date change, or credit voucher.
  • Extended Tours:

    • 0 to 14 days before departure: 100% fee.
    • 15+ days prior: Full refund, free date change, or credit voucher.

Credit vouchers expire after 3 years and are transferable but non-refundable.

Operator Cancellation:

  • Standard cancellations offer refunds, alternate dates, or vouchers.
  • “Force Majeure” events offer credit vouchers or refunds minus unrecoverable costs.

“Force Majeure” events include natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, and events beyond our control.

Acceptance of Risk

Tour activities may involve risks, including wildlife encounters and outdoor adventures. Safety is paramount, but we do not accept liability for personal injury or loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Travel Insurance

Travellers should have personal travel insurance covering accidents, medical expenses, cancellations, COVID-19, and personal liability.

Alcohol Policy

Alcohol consumption is prohibited on tour vehicles. Intoxicated passengers may be denied entry for safety reasons. Legal drinking age in Australia is 18; valid ID required.

Child Policy

Tours suitable for various age groups are listed on individual tour pages. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Prices and Surcharges

Prices vary based on availability and seasonality. Price reductions after booking do not apply retroactively. A surcharge may apply for credit card payments.

Luggage Policy

Day Trips: Recommended daypack (max 7kg). Extended Tours: Luggage limit of 15-20kg (soft bags preferred). Oversized luggage or special items must be pre-arranged.

Pick-up & Drop-offs

Ensure punctuality for pick-up. Late arrivals causing missed tours will not be refunded.

Weather Policy

Tours proceed in most weather conditions unless safety risks arise. We reserve cancellation rights in extreme weather with refunds or alternative dates offered.

Special Requirements

Notify us of dietary restrictions or medical conditions 7 days prior to tour departure. Dietary accommodations are attempted but not guaranteed.
