					Amazing Experience The trip went smoothly without feeling rushed. We had ample time to explore and Peter’s very knowledgeable & shares interesting facts! Peter helped make the experience an enjoyable one, he’s also lead us during the trails and took photos for everyone. The atmosphere at Lake Mountain, Steavenson Falls & Yarra Valley Chocolaterie was special as it wasn’t too crowded. We practically had the place to ourselves at times - such as the lake mountain trail to the lookout. Best for families, couples & singles - so many activities for all!

					We did the Lake Mountain snow trip from Melbourne with Craig and it was excellent. 					Awesome Joe! An unforgettable day in Victoria! We sped down the slopes of Lake Mountain on toboggans, laughing and screaming with excitement, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Our driver cum guide, Joe, was fantastic, with providing expert commentary and epic playlist!! We also indulged in sweet bliss at Yarra Chocolaterie, watching chocolatiers at work. Two unique experiences that combined adventure, nature, and chocolate - what more could you ask for? Highly recommend!

					Good for kids The tour itself was ok. Lake mountain only had the artificial snow going on so the area where it has snow is limited. Still enough for my kid to have fun so thats that. The Chocolaterie was nice and we enjoyed the ice cream there. The best part of the tour was our guide Chris. He was really friendly and funny!

					Great tour to lake mountain, steavenson water fall  and Yarra Valley Chocolate factory, with excellent tour guides LK and Jordan Our tour guides on Tuesday  25th july LK and Jordan were fantastic, Lk was such a character made the trip entertaining, (even his singing was great) played great music , they both gave some good information along the way. Made sure everyone was okay on the bus . Unfortunately no snow falling at Lake Mountain but was still okay  . The Bakery stop on the way was nice  and  refreshing . The Steavenson waterfall was amazing. The Yarra Valley Chocolate factory was a nice way to finish the day off. Overall I couldn't ask for better tour guides , they made the day perfect .

We’ve got you covered with handy day-of hire alternatives, or you can secure your seat with our reduced pre-purchase packages. At Mount Buller Alpine Resort, you may fully enjoy your day. 1 Day Tours: Any cancellation or date change made less than 7 days before departure will incur a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellation or date changes within 7 days of departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Failure to board, change of date, or cancellation within 48 hours of departure may result in total fare forfeiture.

Can you hike Mt Buller in a day?

The bus ride from Mansfield to Mount Buller Ski Resort takes approximately 5 hours, allowing guests to explore the bustling mountainside at their leisure.

How much does a day trip to Mount Buller cost?

The Mount Buller Day Tour costs $139 per person. This package includes transfers to and from Melbourne, as well as admission to the Mt Buller Resort. Gear can be purchased online at a 15% discount.

Can you make a day trip to the snow from Melbourne?

Mount Buller and Lake Mountain are popular winter snow locations located just a short drive from Melbourne, while Thredbo in New South Wales has five of Australia’s longest courses. These sites offer a range of activities for both experienced skiers and novice snow enthusiasts.

Can you visit Mt. Buller without skiing?

Tobogganing is a fun hobby in which your boots serve as brakes in the snow. It is an exhilarating activity that is significantly less expensive than skiing. Walk to the top and slide down as far as you can.

Should I bring my own ski gear?

Not at all—gear rental is available in Mansfield, and you can pre-purchase reduced equipment and apparel bundles prior to the tour. Just remember to include warm clothes, gloves, and a beanie for comfort.
